“My son attended the week long crash course during the summer holidays. He was a bit nervous to begin with (especially with current covid restrictions not allowing me to go in with him) but was happy once handed over to the adult who put him at ease immediately by chatting away to him. He looked forward to each session and came out bouncing afterwards. He was sad to finish the course! I appreciated the feedback form that explained the progress that he had made and his next steps in continuation with his swimming journey. Very friendly staff and great premises.

My little girl was very unsettled the first session but after having a good chat with the team they allowed me to bring her in slightly earlier to settle in and by the third session no issues. Seeing the confidence and how happy she was going into the water and taking part in the activities was just amazing.

From watching her on the Monday to seeing her again on the Friday the improvement and her confidence has grown so much. She couldn’t wait to go back everyday. Emma her teacher was very patient with my daughter and constantly gave her praise. Having Emma in the water showing my daughter exactly what she needed to do was perfect. I would highly recommend. “My two boys joined the crash course for a week, best decision i made!! The ladies were very welcoming and straight away my boys were put at ease and what a different a week can make for a child learning to swim, both boys enjoyed it very much and cant wait to go back for swimming lessons. Also on a plus note i am deaf myself and they were very understanding and easy to lipread .. know this may help other parents who may have deafness in the family and is nervous about a child joining swimming lessons like I was”

Both lacey and louie absolutely love attending their swimming lessons, lacey always tells me how warm the pool is and when she's learnt something new, she's a very proud confident swimmer who's progressing very well given that she's only been doing lessons for a couple of Terms. She adores her teacher Emma. Who really pushes lacey into her full potential. Louie is throughly enjoying his lessons too with his teacher kai, he's not been doing them as long and he's of a younger age but taking him swimming as a family we can really see the difference with the progress these lessons are having. Definas swim school is such a great swim school, the team are just absolutely brilliant with the kids we would 100% recommend them!

They told me everyday what they had learned. One of them was really nervous of the water and by day 5 he was jumping in the deep End! “After being on several waiting lists for over 18 months, I found an advert for a summer crash course and weekly swimming lessons. I was very impressed as they had 2 spaces immediately for my children. The lessons were small with only 4 children in each class which gave me peace of mind that the kids were safe. Getting the end of term reports is really helpful so I know which areas I can also support him with in his swimming outside of his class. “I started my two girls aged 6 and 4 with Delfina in September 2021. I have been thoroughly impressed with the progress they have made in a short amount of time. Communication is regular at Delfina (one of the things that was missing at my eldest daughter's old swim school, hence the desire to change schools). I have received regular half term reports which state their strengths and areas for development. In that time, my daughters have received two certificates each. The staff are friendly and polite and overall I would thoroughly recommend Delfina to other parents.”

“Before starting our daughter would cry with the thought of going swimming let alone when in the pool, we thought our first lesson would be the same, however you wouldn't have even known this, she was straight in and listening to the instructions. All the teachers and helpers are young and fantastic with the children and you are made to feel very welcome every week with Lorna on poolside. The communication regarding term dates etc is very good and the team are very approachable and quick to respond if there are any issues. At the end of term my daughter was extremely happy to receive a swimming badge and certificate and we also received a lovely written report about how well she had done this term... This was such a lovely added extra. We have now got ourselves a daughter who is excited to go swimming and cannot wait for the next lesson and this is all down to Delfina's swim school team. “Elizabeth has thrived so much since attending Delfina's swim school. From her first session where she wouldn't go into the water to now swimming with a float/noodle. I was also able to drop Elizabeth off early in the crash course just to get her more settled and from then on, she's loved it. The communication throughout has been great with emails and texts. Little sweeties at the end of a term. And the best thing about it all is receiving certificates and feedback each term. Thank you all at Delfina's swim school.
